After the first two games came out, Nintendo wanted to… you guessed it make yet another Mario Party game called Mario Party 3… man they are so creative. Anyways, this game is not much different than the first two games it did have new elements like an interactive game board and new characters to play as like Daisy or Waluigi. It also featured new types of mini-games to keep fans, old and new, hooked into playing it. The game also was the first to introduce a story mode where your character has to play through each board in order to “defeat” Bowser… He isn’t as threatening in the Mario Party games, in my opinion. The only problem I have with this game is that it is just the same as the first Mario Party games instead of creating something completely different and original… Very disappointing.
Other than that, I give this game a 7.5
No I’ve done all the Pokemon games that I’ve owned on the hanhelds and now it is time tackle the console ones that I’ve owned. First off is Pokemon Stadium, this is a very interesting game because it was the first game ever where you can see your Pokemon in three dimensions, which is pretty cool for a hardcore trainer if they get tried of playing on the handheld. You can even used preset Pokemon in lv. 50 or 100 against your friends or computers. There is even a story mode were you can battle all the gym leaders and various trainers using all types of Pokemon, which makes the game more fun to play for those who get tried of playing by yourself or your friends with cheap lv.100 Pokemon using the Rare Candy code… BEST CHEAT EVER.. in a Pokemon game of course. Finally, the game also has very interesting mini-games were you play as Pokemon like Lickitung eating Sushi or Clefairies learning dancing… yeah some of the games are just weird.
In the end, I give this game a 8.5
Since I reviewed the Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers the video game I thought I do the actual TV series itself. I already mentioned the two known characters Chip,Dale and Gadget, but I forgot to mention their other companions Monterey Jack and cheese loving adventurer and Zipper the fly that for some reason wears a shirt… Anyways, they all form a group known, of course, the Rescue Rangers where they solve mysteries, foil crimes by both animals and humans, and other activities as well. They also had a lot of interesting villains like Fat Cat, a literally Fat Cat and frequent villain in most episodes, another villain include Professor Norton Nimul, who is like Doctor Eggman’s lost cousin twice removed because he didn’t have a big enough mustache, and many other one shot baddies. I think this show is a very good one because it combines both realism in certain situations, but at the same time keeping it cartoony for the younger viewers. My only concern is that, and this is with most of these old Disney shows is that it didn’t last long and didn’t supply loyal viewers with more episodes.
All in all, I give the ground breaking cartoon an A for making our TV watching experience more enjoyable when it come towards good cartoons
There have been a lot of good classic games that were brought to the NES, butone of my favorites would have to be Chip ’n Dale Rescue Rangers. Based on the hit cartoon series, combines both basic platforming with well-balanced gameplay. You can play either the Fedora wearing chipmunk Chip or the Hawaiian shirt chipmunk Dale. There isn’t that much of a difference they both play the same, in my opinion. In each level you have two objective: finish each level and collect as many flowers for the Female mouse Gadget. Each of the levels get increasingly difficult and make the experience more enjoyable. Even the boss battle are difficult to defeat even for the casual gamer. the only flaw with this game is that once you beat it that is it… I wish they added another adventure and made more challenging for the gamers.
Other than that I give it an 8.5
I must say this… this is a much better than the first game. It has a more in depth storyline and a much better gameplay than what it was in the first game. It introduced us to two different stories, a Hero and Dark, and was the first game to showcase new characters like Shadow and Rouge the Bat. I will also say that there is more of a challenge in this game… I mean I couldn’t get past through the Dark levels because Rouge’s level are a real pain to play in. Besides that stories there are also battle modes so you and a friend could play in like a racing level or a shooting level with Tails or Eggman. While all of those are fun to play, some of it gets too repetitive and boring if played again, but it is a worthwhile sequel especially when it comes to Sonic video games nowadays.
I give it an 8
I’ve decided to get nostalgic and review one of my favorite game show of all time… Legends of the Hidden Temple. Now I know there are other great game show on Nick, but I will do those later. First off, this game show, from 1993-1995 was a real hit on Nick and made kids jealous that they couldn’t of been on this awesome show. It was hosted by Kirk Fogg and had a giant statue head, voiced by the great Dee Bradley Baker, that was called Olmec. Each episode had six teams: Red Jaguars, Blue Barracudas, Green Monkeys, Orange Iguanas, Purple Parrots, and the Silver Snakes. Each Team had to go through a series of physical and mental challenges and in the end they must conquer Olmec’s Temple in order to win. The temple run has to be my favorite part of the show… It is a maze of rooms where you have to complete each one, but there are Temple Guards that will scare the crap out of every person that goes in it. The worse times to get captured is either in the Dark Forest or the room of the Sacred Warriors.. nothing scares fourteen year old boys faster then two hands grabbing you at the stomach. My only fault in this game show is that every contestant on it is very athletic “I play basketball” “I do gymnastics” “I play hockey” it is like they just wanted just athletic kids in this show (that is just my opinion). My last gripe would be the stories, questions, and answers Olmec told some were funny at the time, but today they are just so weird and stupid. Other than that, Legends of the Hidden Temple was a great game show and if they bring back GUTS then they should bring back this forgotten classic.
I give it an A for making our childhoods, and even our adult lives, more enjoyable
With the success of the first game, Mario Party came out with a sequel known as Mario Party 2… very original I know. Anyways, this time around the game has new boards, new minigames, and many more. It also has themed areas ranging from Western to Space. The game also has each character in the game to dress up in the setting they are playing in like DK in a Wizard costume (sounds like he should be in Final Fantasy) or Yoshi in a Western costume (“do you feel lucky *plunk* I didn’t think so”) which is an interesting concept, in a way. Overall, this is an enjoyable addition to the Mario Party franchise.. it even produced the first use of battle and duel mini-games which will be used in the other games. The only problem is that, the game is just the same as the first one just slightly modified when you put it into perspective, in my opinion.
In the end, I give it an 8
Since I’ve reviewed the first two games I thought I review the recent released one as well. To start off, you start out as a new resident in your own town of whatever you call it and trying to live the live you always wanted… that is to live with talking raccoons, dogs and squirrels. Like in the first two games you must pay off your loan and buy furniture for your new house. You can also do tasks for all your neighbors and create new clothes and play with up to four people in each town. Not only that, but you can go to a new section of each town called the city were you can go to a show or buy expensive furniture and clothes to getting a new hairstyle or getting your shoes shined. Also, and by far the best is like in Wild World, is going to other peoples towns over Wi-Fi and you can also talk to the over a new device called Wii Speak were you can talk to the other person as if they are in the room with you. The only problem I have is that it is the same game just a different name, but the simplicity and addictiveness in all this is a fun and excitable game for anyone.
I give it a 9.5
I can’t believe I forgot to review this game…. o well. Like in the review for the first two games I enjoy playing Super Smash Bros. even if the game was delayed so many times. I must say this is one of my favorites on the Wii and is the best Wii game of the year, in my opinion. From basic brawl to special brawls, this game has everything for any casual or hardcore gamer. Also this game is the first to have online action so you can play with people you know or don’t know which is one of the best thing in the game. It also has many characters, old and new, plus there aren’t many clones as in the last game. This is an epic game and anyone who has a Wii sould get it and join the everlasting fun that is Super Smash Bros. Brawl. My only concern is that the story mode could have been better… it was fun I just think it could have been more fun and have a better ending.
Besides that, I give this masterpiece a 10
