Here is another edition of favorite attractions at Disney World theme parks and this time we will be heading the world of tomorrow and several other countries of Epcot Center. Keep this in mind that this is from 1993 to 2003 and some rides won’t be on for obvious reasons. Other than that, lets us begin my second list of favorite attractions at Epcot with number 10:

Number 10:

El Rio del Tiempo

Now let me start off by saying that El Rio del Tiempo isn’t my favorite slow moving water ride because mine would be it’s a small world. But the ride is still nevertheless a pure classic and it is well showing of the Mexican lifestyle and culture of the people. Now it may be a classic, but there is another water ride at Epcot that was much more exhilarating than El Rio del Tiempo. Also, the ride has gotten much better with the inclusion of one of my childhood pastimes called the Three Caballeros and the artist formally known as Donald Duck.

Number 9:

Maelstorm

As I said before this ride bypasses El Rio del Tiempo because of one simple factor and that is the elements of surprises during the ride. Among that the ride gives the guest a wonderful representation of how Norway was and what it has become over the centuries. Also, while it is exciting it doesn’t have the classical vibe as it’s a small world, but the surprises help make it worth the wait in the long line.

Number 8:

Cranium Command

I know that this isn’t around anymore and in fact the facility is not even around at all due to the new rides. Despite that fact, this is one of my favorite shows to go on due to it humor and a complete unique way of how a human functions in our world. Each character is very funny especially the left and right brains and also the left and ventricles. In other words, this is a great show/ride experience and it is a true shame that it was closed and almost all of you won’t experience this type of attraction.

Number 7:

Universe of Energy: Ellen’s Energy Adventure

When I was young I truly enjoy this ride due to the fact that Bill Nye was in it showing us science in a funny sense of direction and today I enjoy it a lot more because I know who Ellen DeGeneres was which made the ride more exciting for me. The story and representation was well made and there are some points during it that makes going on it definitely worth the long wait.

Number 6:

Body Wars

Just like Cranium Command, this ride is also not around anymore, but it is still a favorite to me no matter what. It was your standard run of the mill simulation ride with nothing to special to its name. Although, it is pretty realistic much like those of other simulations and it was a real treat traverse the human body and face the wrath of it as well.

Number 5:

Journey into Imagination

This ride has gone through so many changes over the years and in the long run it is and always will be a classic to me. In it you go on adventure through imagination as well as your own as your own with your guide and Figment. It is truly a unique ride and Figment is a true delight to all that ride on it and worth your time to learn the fabric of imagination and among other important aspects.

Number 4:

Innoventions

Let me start off by saying that this area in Epcot is my favorite place to go all the time. It has all sorts of new and unique electronics and games for all guests. I still remember my first time being at Innoventions when it was new and they were showcasing the game console Dreamcast and I played Sonic Adventure 2 demo. As you can see, this is a favorite of mine and will always be for me no matter what happens to the area.

Number 3:

Spaceship Earth

This by far a sure fire classic especially for anyone who has ever been to Disney World. The ride is a fun experience through the world’s history and its future through the use of great visuals and machines. Not only the ride is great, but the building itself is a real treat as well with it being first landmark to feature a ride in it. Although it maybe old, it is still by far a great ride for anyone even today.

Number 2:

Mission: Space

I will admit that I was very hesitant and skeptical when I heard about this ride during my last trip, but that soon changed the first second this ride started. All I can say, without spoiling the ride is that, is that it does what it says a lot more than expected. In, my opinion, this is the best simulation that I have ever been on and would have been number one if it wasn’t for the next ride taking the spot.

and my Number 1 ride at Epcot Center is:

Test Track

This ride is the best thing to happen to Epcot for a long time and has always been my favorite for years even to this day. The ride is the very example of what a thrill ride should be and anyone would just love every second of this magnificent track of steel and pavement. In other words, a must ride when you get to the park even if you have to wait in line for your time or FASTPASS.

Well here is another list and remember my opinions are a lot different then yours.

Welcome to another Top List and this time around I will be doing my Top ten favorite attractions and also a Top 5 Shows at Disney World. Now keep this in mind I’ve been to Disney World between 1993 to my last trip in 2003 so some rides are on the list because I haven’t ridden them so I can’t rate them. So with out further ado this wish upon a star and start at number 10 of my favorite Disney World Attractions:

Number 10:

Tomorrowland Transit Authority aka, or I still call it, the Peoplemover

Now you are all probably thinking this isn’t really a ride, but to me it is a sure fire classic. You go on an adventure throughout Tomorrowland and you even go into Space Mountain at one point. The ride also has some funny futuristic humor and it is a great thing to do especially when the weather becomes inclement so this is why the Peoplemover made my list of my favorite attractions at the Magic Kingdom.

Number 9:

Dumbo the Flying Elephant

When I was little, about maybe 7, after going through Cinderella’s Castle I see the flying elephants and I nearly lost it. It is a clear classic for anyone no matter what age. The reason it is so low is because there are so many other rides that topple Dumbo the Flying Elephant. Other than that, flying through the skies in a elephant is always a must for me and anyone else whose inner child comes at the sight of this ride.

Number 8:

Tomorrowland (Indy) Speedway

Ironically, today I’m not that good of a driver, but way back then at Tomorrowland Speedway I was actually pretty good over the years. Anyway, the ride is yet another classic where you can fulfill a childhood dream of actually driving an actually vehicle with the feel of an actual car. A must ride for anyone that are heading to the theme park at Disney World.

Number 7:

it’s a small world

What is not to enjoy the ride it’s a small world and the fact that it is such a great ride to go on. The song is both catchy and you will be humming it through the whole ride. The ride also give the riders a unique experience through all kinds of different cultures and how we are all the same and no one is considered different no matter where you are so it is actually a small world. In other words, a great ride with a perfect message towards every person that steps into the boat.

Number 6:

Haunted Mansion

I will admit when I was little the ride startled me especially with the popping heads and the very thought of death, but nowadays I’ve grown to enjoy the ride. While it is scary to this day, the special effects are amazing to this day and it has its own brand of comedy with your ghost host pulling your mind with humor even at some of the most terrifying moments. So whether you are scared out of your mind or love to good spook then head to the Haunted Mansion for a thrill and a hitchhiking ghost so you can bring back home. In fact, my family brought home so many ghost we had to sent some of them back to Florida.

Number 5:

Peter Pan’s Flight

The ride Peter Pan’s Flight is another classic in my eyes. You go on a magical adventure with just a little bit of pixie dust and possibly the best vehicle I have ever gone on. On the ride you go through the whole story of Peter Pan with Wendy, John and Michael as they face the dreaded, scurvy, and dastardly pirate Captain Hook and his right hand mate Smee. So be sure to not pass up the opportunity to fly in the skies of England and ride the Flight towards adventure.

Number 4:

Pirates of the Caribbean

Prepare to set sail for another adventure with Pirates again only this time they are from the Caribbean. On this flume ride, you go through the setting of the Caribbean as you encounter pirates both thieving and singing types as well. You might even meet up with Captain Jack and Barbossa. The ride also has its spooky appeal in the beginning and a swashbuckling humor in the rest of the ride and it makes it more enjoyable.

Number 3:

Big Thunder Mountain

If you want a rip roaring adventure then look no further than Big Thunder Mountain. You go through the mountains on a crazy train going who knows where which is pretty much an exciting excursion. The rest is a real surprise and a definite ride for anyone whether they are die hard rider to the fair weather rider.

Number 2:

Splash Mountain

This is not only a great ride, but also a wonderful show as well. All of the drops are amazing and the story on the ride is very engaging for any fan of Songs of the South or just the magic of Disney. Also, it says you may get wet, but what they actually mean is you will get either drenched or your head will get wet. That was just a benefit to all, but nonetheless, it is an awesome water ride.

and the Number 1 Attraction at the Magic Kingdom is:

Space Mountain

In spite of Splash being a awesome ride, Space Mountain is an all around classic in my life. You see before I was a Roller Coaster Junkie, I was a soft rider whom never rode any ride that was scary and/or bigger than me. Until one day I found a spark within me and decided to finally ride Space Mountain and the rest is history. Now the ride is a dark coaster with all kinds of surprises that will make the adrenaline rise up and make you love and cherish the fact that Roller Coasters are made.

Well this is my list and remember my favorites are a lot different than yours.

Welcome all to a brand new Epic Game Review and I will be doing things a lot differently than before. Instead of short reviews, I will be doing a much more in-depth and detailed review of my video games that I have played in my lifetime. To start the new way of reviewing, I will do one of the first games that I have played since I became a gamer way back in 1996. That certain game that I am speaking of is none other than Paperboy. This zany title of a game was a big favorite in my house and even when we, my two brothers, break out the old NES 2, the Top Loader model, we always put Paperboy in first even before Mario Bros. or Duck Hunt. Here’s is my epic review of a highly underrated gem that was tossed aside in favor of more popular titles.

You start off right off the bat as a regular adolescent boy riding on the street with his trusty bicycle and a sack of papers for all of your paying customers who are waiting so patiently for you to deliver the good news to them. There are two paths of transportation and that is either the sidewalk or the street, but there is no difference and I presume that it is the gamers choice. The main objective to the game is to deliver all of your papers to all of your customers with blue houses and not to the red houses. Isn’t it nice to know that the people love to help the paperboy by painting their houses thus signaling him that they want his paper? Anyways, you must toss your papers to the right customers and you will receive payment or lose customers based on exactly how well you did during your route. You can also pick up packs of papers during your ride so you don’t run out of them during the game. But if you fall three times during your route you will immediately end your route and lose your payment as well as your own customers. If you lose all of your customers, you will retire as Paperboy, get a game over and you will have to start all over again from scratch.

You may think this is easy because all you move and throw your papers to your houses, but there far more at stake than giving papers to your somewhat loyal customers. There are all kinds of obstacles that will prevent you from succeeding are these strange happenings that happen on this bizarre street. You are faced with deranged mutts that won’t go away unless you throw a newspaper at it, crazy Stepford wife’s with rolling pins, a suggestive construction worker who is, at least I certainly hope he is, operating a Jackhammer, and even the Grim Reaper, the bringer of death, is trying to prevent our hero from delivering his papers. I must say this is one interesting neighborhood if they house the Grim Reaper. If you are skilled enough and I guess brave enough to trek down this “dangerous” street just to earn a quarter a paper then who am I one to judge.

When you finish your route and delivered to all your customers, you will then be in an obstacle course of full of ramps and targets. This is the games bonus stage where you can earn large amounts of points so that you can get a high score and beat out the competition, including your brothers. While this part of the game is the most enjoyable out of everything else you have done so far, it no doubt the hardest section of the entire gaming experience overall. For some unforeseen reason, you are going at top speed unlike what you went through during your paper route. With this in motion, the turning is very lackluster and you will indeed miss a ramp and crash making you lose all the potential points you could have gotten if you had only slowed up. At the end, you are greeted by your adoring fans who cheer for you and possibly have no life at all except to watch a boy deliver newspapers. After that awkwardness is over you are shown the map of all your subscribers and non-subscribers and it will inform you of whether someone re-subscribed or canceled their subscription to your newspaper. Also, if you keep failing you will retire as a loser and be humiliated or if you keep succeeding you will retire as a champion and be praised by your three big fans.

When it comes to controls in this game it is either hit or miss. The turning with the bicycle is very unresponsive and can serious mess up your game if you miscalculate when to turn and avoid an obstacle. This is an instance where the game could be better if there was a joystick so that moving would be more easier and you’ll be less likely to crash and lose your game. Another fault that stems from this game is the paper throwing being too precise. What I mean by that is that you have to throw the paper exactly at the right spot in order to get signature bleep sound to give you that fact that you made a successful delivery. If you are off by a just a little the paper goes into a bush or worse window and just like in real life you have to pay for it out of your own earnings. This feature makes the game more harder and less enjoyable for those with the temper of an angry Stepford wife with a rolling pin.

Despite of all the games short comings and unearthly events, this is still an underrated classic for anyone interested in classic games. The plot and game play are simple and there is a challenge factor for all types of gamers out there. Also, it is more fun to play along side another player and play a battle of Paperboys to see who can do the best in the game. If you have a functioning NES, this game or money to buy it I recommend it as a fan of nostalgia.

I give it a 8 out of 10 for it exciting and challenging game play but still a hard game to master even today

It is now time for my last rhythm-based game that I’ve recently got is my favorite of them all. The game Rhythm Heaven is a very unique and innovative game to come to the DS in quite a long time. In the game the objective is to use your stylus and either flick, tap or hold it in sync with the music in order to receive a perfect from your conductor. Unlike the first two previously mentioned rhythm games that have music we all know, this game has it’s own soundtrack that is very addicting to listen. To also add on to this amazing game, would have to be the mini-games it self. Each game has their own interesting use of what function or functions to need to utilize in order to get a Perfect in the end. I mean what other game has you plucking beets or in a choir trio singing to the conductor or slicing vegetables with Samurai swords. While the game is exciting it is also very challenging. Any type of gamer will have all kinds of troubles trying to beat these levels that the game will throw you a bone and you can skip this level entirely and do a different one. Among the games faults, this is a great game for anyone and should be known as wonderful addition to the system.

I give it a 9.5… it was short of 10 because of how hard it was in the end.

In the first new episode of Family Guy, both Stewie and Brian travel through multiple universes using a device in order to get there. I enjoyed it very much I decided to make a list of my top 5 favorite universes. I will warn you there are spoilers so you are warned.

Number 5:

The Blocky Animation Universe

The reason is that it reminds me of Adobe flash animation and that is a very underused medium and Family Guy used it very well. Not only that, the “nyeh” from all the characters were very hilarious too. The reason for the number 5 is that the rest are just a bit or a lot better than this one and the universe is also very short.

Number 4:

Flintstone Universe

I felt this was a great use of the fact that Fred and Wilma look a lot like Peter and Lois. They also used the rock’s jokes a whole lot which made the point that the jokes were consistently all about rocks. Also, I am a fan of the Flintstones which made this one a whole lot better. Lastly, the joke with Stewie and Brian saying “let’s get the Rock out of here” was genius.

Number 3:

Japanese invaded the US Universe

I really enjoyed this one because I’m a fan of the Japanese animes and manga. The voice actors of the universe were hilarious, especially Quagmire because that is what he’d be in if he was Japanese. I only wish they extended on this universe, but for me it was just fine.

Number 2:

Robot Chicken Universe

When I saw this first I was very excited because I’m a huge fan of the series and I never miss an episode ever. It was the perfect use just like the Flintstones universe, but this one went a whole lot further. The reason is that Stewie made fun of Chris for not being on a major network until then. If it wasn’t for my number 1 this would be my it.

And my number 1 universe is:

Disney Universe

This is no surprise at all I mean this one is just perfect and that is the bottom line. The moment I saw it I was so surprised with the animation and I wondered how they did this and who did this. The song was very funny and all the characters into a Disney character were all top-notch and the ending was possibly the best from all the universes combined. In the end, this is my favorite universe out of all of them.

Here is my list and remember my favorite universes may be a lot different than yours.

Welcome to a new section called Top Lists where I rank my top 5, 10, or even 15 things and I will start with the Top 5 burgers at Universal Studios Orlando. Why you may ask why?… well during the Summer me and my family and a close friend went to the theme park for six days and at all the restaurants I got a cheeseburger and I decided to rate my favorites while I was there. So lets begin the countdown with number 5:

Number 5:

The Kitchen at the Orlando Hard Rock Hotel

I did enjoy the burger, but it had a kind of fast food kind of taste and the burger was not that juicy at all. Besides that, it was a noteworthy meal and perfect for anyone who wants a quick bite or can’t go anywhere because of inclement weather.

Number 4:

Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville

While it is a classic and one of my favorite places of all time, my last trip brought the burger down to the number 4 spot for some odd reason. The burger was good, but not as good the last few years. Like I said before it is a classic and worth your money to get your own cheese burger in paradise. It will rise up again to 2 or even 1 only time will tell. Also, “I like mine with American cheese and bacon and a cold Coke” not as catchy as the song though.

Number 3:

Hard Rock Cafe in Orlando

I was very surprised with this burger because my last time there it was not that great, but the burger was much better this time around. The burger was juicy, the bacon was cooked to perfection and the bun was toasted which is always a plus with me. The only downfall is that it was not as filling as the burgers before it and it made the experience a less enjoyable one. In the end, it deserves this spot on my list.

Number 2:

Nascar Sports Grille

Me and my family always went here last, but this year we decided to eat here first and it was a wise decision. The burger I had there was a great burger in both taste and size. For some reason the cheese there was the best I had while I was on vacation. This really made my eating experience while I was on vacation and prompted the creation of this list in the first place.

And the number 1 burger at Universal Studios Florida is:

NBA City

I enjoy this burger so much and, surprisingly, this was my first time I had a burger there. I usually have the Pizza, but that day I got the burger and it was just well awesome. The burger and bacon were all cook to perfection and taste perfect too. All I can say is that this was a great surprise that this was my favorite and I don’t mind this burger was great and worth it for any burger lovers out there.

Here is my list and remember this is my opinion and my taste buds are a lot different than yours.

After my enjoyable experience with the Looney Tunes game I decided to try another Rhythm based game that I heard called Elite Beat Agents. I was once again hesitant in getting this game, but I really enjoyed the last game I decided why not and I got it and enjoyed it. Unlike the Looney Tunes game instead to tap and drag you have to just tap, repeatably tap or spin according to the music you are playing. There isn’t much story except three agents, depending on which game you play, have to solve all kinds of dilemmas like a babysitter trying to keep her job and her football loving boyfriend or helping two movie starlets survive the wild or even helping a young girl with her Christmas wish… I will not spoil that one. The humor in this game is very top-notch and really makes this game work very well. Also, the game is never repetitive and it never gets boring no matter how many times you play it. My only concerns is that while they are enjoyable to play over and over they are considerable hard and even when you are on the first level of difficulty. Another reason is that, like in the Looney Tunes game, some of the songs just don’t along with the scenario. For example, “Sk8tor Boy” is being played to a guy driving a woman to a hospital to give birth to a baby… where is the connection to the song? Besides that, this game is very fun for anyone that loves rhythm based games and also a very challenging one as well.

I give this game a 9

Let me start of by welcoming all who enter my new section on my blog called Rant with Craig where I rant all kinds of things that bother me or other people. So I hope you enjoy my rant and many more in the future.

You want to know what is a real pain to me is the bumper sticker. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy them especially the funny ones, but they are a mess when you want to take them off. For example, you put on a funny bumper sticker on your car and after many years you lose interest in the car and you want to remove it. But as soon as you remove it it either leaves a white or sticky residue on the car that will be permanent on your car forever. The only way to get rid of it is to get a new car and not put a bumper sticker on it at all, but you have to spend thousands on a new car when you could save money on a bumper sticker remover. I believe that they have a removal solution, but they don’t want us to have it at all. I mean is there even something like that even on the market. Another fault I see with bumper stickers are the college ones. These are the ones you put on the back windshield to show drivers where you or your children go to or went to for college. I do enjoy them, but the problem is that what if the student drops out or leaves the school the sticker is a constant reminder of what they could be doing if they didn’t leave the school. As you can see, bumper stickers may be an enjoyable addition to your car, but when you grow tired of them they soon become a nuisance and a real pain to all that have them.

Let me start off by saying that I am a big Looney Tunes fans for years I even have all the Looney Tunes DVD’s too. Now when it comes to their video games they are all just hit and miss with me like the Crazy Castles or the recent movie game Back in Action!, which were all not that great from what I’ve seen. This was my instinct until I came across a new Looney Tunes game that was a rhythm game with all the original characters we all know and love for the past fifty years. I will admit at first I was hesitant on getting the game since I had never played any rhythm based games in my gaming life, but soon changed when I first started playing this game. Right off the DS stylus, the game features all kinds of famous scenes from all kinds of Looney Tunes cartoons from Bugs Bunny to Foghorn Leghorn. The reason for re-creating these scenes is because the dim-witted Tasmanian Devil destroyed all the cartoons and you, the conductor, must help Bugs and his friends fixed the cartoons. I will admit this is a bit of a let down, but that makes up when you start playing the game. You have to click and either drag your stylus to go along with the music which is both creative and simple for anyone interested in rhythm based video games. The only problem I have is that the music in the game is not the “right” music for this type… I mean “Carmen” for a Foghorn Leghorn cartoon just doesn’t seem right to me at all, but some songs go very well with the cartoons like the “Barber of Seville” goes great with the famous cartoon Rabbit of Seville. My favorite part of this game would be the remixes that are in the game which is very well done.

Overall, it is a good game and I give it a 7.5
