The upcoming Mario Marathon starts June 11th at 6:00PM and will run for a week straight (168 Hours). We will be playing through a lot of the Mario games while raising money for ACT Today (http://www.act-today.org/).
TheSpeedGamers have been streaming video game marathons for over a year to raise money for various charities. In total they have raised over $140,000 dollars and played 17 marathons. They have raised over $50,000 in their week long Final Fantasy Marathon, and have made multiple news appearances. This upcoming marathon will be for ACT Today. This charity provides grant money for families that cannot afford or access the treatments their autistic children need.
During the marathon we will have multiple contests to win various prizes. Some are contributed by TheSpeedGamers’ gracious community members.

Me, Miscellaneous
Here is another unboxing video and this time it Super Mario Galaxy 2.
Hope you all enjoy it and I can’t wait for the next one!
In this interesting game you play as a herd of Yoshi’s that are on a deadly mission to save the world from the eminent destruction of the free world with the help of John Connor… o sorry I’ve had the Terminator on the mind right now… anyways you play Yoshi’s in attempt to save Baby Mario from Baby Bowser from him playing with… him. Besides the story being a little weird the gameplay is actually pretty good with hard levels and endless Yoshi deaths abound… I mean seriously what do they do to all those Yoshi’s anyways. Each level is a great challenge and the game has some tough bosses too with make it even hard for most casual gamers. My only other fault is that the game may be too challenging and you may lose so much frustration will take over and you may lose a controller. Besides that it is still a good game and worth playing if your in on platforming action.
I give it an 8
First off, this game was the first game on the Gamecube and I think it is the best out of the rest of the Gamecube. It has new types of games and boards to keep the fun going. Of course the high point of the game is like always the multi player mode since it is the whole reason for playing this game. The single player mode is not really worth mentioning since there is no significance at all towards the game. There are the same characters you’ve seen in the old games on the N64 and provides, just like any other Mario Party game, hours of fun gameplay. The problem with this game is that there was really no difference transitioning to the Gamecube it felt like playing fight on the N64 again. Also…. this was the last time you could play as DK which, well for me, was very dissapointing… Dang you Hudson.
In the end I gave it a 7 for lack of improvement, but was enjoyable to play
Sorry Part for my inactivity I’ve been busy since its my senior year, but anyways I’ve got some more great review of video games and plan to get some more during this long, and by long I mean since I’m heading to college soon and all, so I’ll be sure to keep you all informed. Expect a review tonight of my first official review of my first Naruto game Naruto Clash of Ninja.
I also have a reason for there not being another TV review is because I’m not sure what show to review yet so I’ll think of one soon… Hopefully.
As for new stuff, I plan to start a new section for rants because I’ve always wanted to rant on about something on the Internet.
So see you all later.
Yet another feat my first SNES review and a great one in fact. Before the Paper Mario’s there was one game the made Mario RPG’s so great and that was Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. It had Mario in an RPG genre instead of platforming adventures he is usually in. I will say this much, the games story and gameplay is the best especially for the SNES. The game also provides endless hours of playing time with secrets and trials for the most hardcore players. The game also has some of the best NPC dialogue and the main characters are fun to play. Lastly, the game provides the best boss battles I’ve ever play in and get equally harder as it progresses on. My only concern is that the game, like I said before, is very hard to play sometimes and can get frustrating also.
All in all I give this awesome game a 9.5
After the success of the first game, we knew that there had to be a sequel to the great Super Mario Bros., but unfortunately that didn’t happen. Instead they made a game game from Japan into a Mario game here in the U.S. and surprisingly it is very enjoyable to play. You can not only play as Mario and Luigi, but also Toad and Princess Peach as well in order to get through this new game. All of the levels are vast and full of various secrets in order to beat the game. It also spawned all kinds of enemies like the Shy-Guys or the Ninjis. The game even has it fair share of unique boss battles and also introduced us to a new baddie named Wart the Frog. My only concerns is that some points of the game are tough even for the most experienced game and this game feels short unlike the last game, in my opinion.
But all in all, I give this worthy sequel an 8
With the success of the first game, Mario Party came out with a sequel known as Mario Party 2… very original I know. Anyways, this time around the game has new boards, new minigames, and many more. It also has themed areas ranging from Western to Space. The game also has each character in the game to dress up in the setting they are playing in like DK in a Wizard costume (sounds like he should be in Final Fantasy) or Yoshi in a Western costume (“do you feel lucky *plunk* I didn’t think so”) which is an interesting concept, in a way. Overall, this is an enjoyable addition to the Mario Party franchise.. it even produced the first use of battle and duel mini-games which will be used in the other games. The only problem is that, the game is just the same as the first one just slightly modified when you put it into perspective, in my opinion.
In the end, I give it an 8
Here is a real blast from the past and also the game that started a new format for Mario, Luigi, Peach and friends. This is Mario Party, which is of course a party game for the N64. Alright first off, the game, in my opinion is a fun pick up and play especially for two to four players. It is kind of like a board game where you have to collect stars and coins in order to win the game and be the master of partying. Anyways after each turn all the players (or some depending on what you play) participate in various types of games called of course Mini-Games and the winner(s) get coins in exchange for a star(s). Despite the game being fun in all the games get too repetitive and lose tenacity after a while. Also there are some games that involve rotating the control stick and it hurts a lot… plus I lost a lot of skin playing those games… I’d probably shouldn’t of told you that………
Anyways, I give this classic an 8
Sorry I haven’t reviewed a game in a while I’ve been to busy with work. Anyways, Mario Vs. Donkey is an enjoyable puzzle game feature “rivals” Mario and Donkey. It has a whole bunch of puzzles ranging from easy to hard and has unique boss battles against the huge gorilla. It has has great replayability since you try to get a higher scores in all the levels and try to collect the Mario toys in the right amount of time. The only problem is that the game is to short and I have to admit the story is very weird, but I guess It is alright..
I give this Puzzling game a 8.5
